Yallah Gaza onderzoekt het voortbestaan van Gaza als gebied en volk, ondanks de opeenvolgende militaire aanvallen, bezetting en blokkade door Israëlische troepen. Hoe kan het dat dit kleine gebied, met zijn rijke historische, culturele en religieuze betekenis, onder zoveel geweld is komen te staan en toch nog steeds bestaat?
Deze vertoning maakt deel uit van United Screens for Palestine, een collectief van programmatoren, cultuurwerkers en culturele centra dat eind vorig jaar het initiatief Refusing to Disappear lanceerde. Deze reeks filmvertoningen viert de rijke Palestijnse cinematraditie.

Yallah Gaza explores the continuing endurance of Gaza as a territory and a people despite the successive military assaults, occupation and blockade by Israeli forces. How is it that this tiny territory, with its rich historical, cultural, and religious significance, has come under such violence, yet still exists?
This documentary is part of United Screens For Palestine, a collective of cultural workers passionate about film responding to the ongoing Nakba and the criminalisation of everything Palestinian.
